The club has a store of equipment that new players can borrow whilst they complete their two-week free trial.  Once players decide that they would like to stick with the sport, they will need to buy their own kit.  Usually, players do this over a period of 6 to 12 months.

 

The equipment that players will need include:

• Inline Hockey Skates 
• Hockey Helmet
• Chest Pads
• Elbow Pads
• Gloves
• Hockey Impact Shorts
• Shin/Knee Pads
• Hockey Socks or Trousers - you do not need both
• A Cup/Jock Strap
• A Hockey Stick
• A Hockey Shirt

 

Netminders will also require:

• Neck Guard
• Netminder Shin Pads
• Netminder Gloves
• Netminder Helmet

Please bring your own skates for the training sesssions.  if you are just starting and do not have any, please contact the team who will advise you.

Players are required to wear full match day protective equipment during training.  This is requirement of the venue and for our insurance cover

The club has a supply of spares shirts that players can borrow for matches.  Players can also order their own shirt with their name and assigned number on it when they become a member of the team.  These can be ordered by speaking to our Head Coach, Scott, who places orders throughout the year for new team kit.

If you need any help, just speak to one of the coaches or volunteers in regards to the kit that you need and where to obtain it from.

 

Hockey Matches

Eastbourne Edge have both white and green hockey shirts and when playing matches at Bisley and Bordon, players will be wearing their green hockey shirts.  If white shirts are needed, due to another team playing in the same colour, plenty of notice will be given to order white hockey shirts as well.

 

Off Pad Shirts

Eastbourne Edge also have ‘off pad’ shirts available to order throughout the year.  These are not just great for the players, but also for their supporters too!  Notifications will be made when orders are going to be placed.
